We photographed Haley & Kyle's destination wedding in Key West last weekend and everything was so, SO amazing. ⁠⁠

They flew in from DC with their closest family and friends to have their absolute dream wedding. ⁠⁠
⁠⁠
And it was truly such a dreamy day! 😍 The water was absolutely stunning and we got a random cold front the day before so it was breezy and not humid at all. ⁠⁠

The day was so stress-free, slow, and easy going and Haley and Kyle's families are some of the sweetest and most hilarious people we have ever met. ⁠⁠

Seriously, though - the speeches had Pete and I crying from laughing so much! 😂⁠⁠
⁠⁠
You're married!!! 🎉 Wishing you both the most amazing life ever! So, SO happy we were able to celebrate you both even through all the craziness of the past year! 💕⁠⁠

Here's a little tip for all of our wedding couples: GOLDEN HOUR. 🌞⁠
⁠
Golden hour is close to when the sun sets and it's literally the perfect time to take photos. The closer to sunset the better. ⁠
⁠
So, if you're not having a first look and having a more traditional wedding with family + a bridal party, the best time to schedule your ceremony is AT LEAST an hour and a half before the sunsets. ⁠
⁠
This gives you:⁠
30ish minutes for your ceremony⁠
20ish minutes for family photos⁠
15ish minutes for bridal party pictures⁠
& 25ish minutes (or longer if you want!! The more time the better!) for your couples portraits. And those will be right before the sun sets and you'll get the absolute bestttttt light. 🌞⁠

It's so funny that as soon as we started this business almost 2 years ago, we have had more family members and friends getting married or engaged than ever before! lol ⁠⁠

We love working weddings. We love weddings in general! It's why we are so passionate about this business. 💕⁠⁠

But it was so much fun to just enjoy a wedding and be with family! Even though we literally can't turn off our photography and videography brains at every wedding that we're guests at and are still always looking to capture the little moments with our phones. lol 😂⁠⁠

Both of them and their families were so welcoming and we felt like we were more than just vendors. ⁠⁠

(Pete wasn't even phased when he ripped his pants right before the reception. 😂)⁠⁠

And that's what we love so much about wedding days. We get to watch our couples make vows to each other and have one of the best nights of their lives. We get to watch their family members witness their love. ⁠⁠

There's so much joy in every single wedding we capture and we feel so fortunate to be able to be a small part of that day for our couples.⁠⁠
